Oil & Gas
|OxySure is safe for oil and gas facilities....||“The OxySure enables a loved one, bystander or even the person himself to provide oxygen…awaiting the arrival of emergency medical responders.”
Dr. Vincent Mosesso, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center
There is a renewed emphasis and shared commitment in the oil & gas industries to safety and employee health and safety, in particular.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Injuries and Illnesses News Release for 2011 there were nearly 3.0 million nonfatal workplace injuries and illnesses reported by private industry employers in 2011, resulting in an incidence rate of 3.5 cases per 100 equivalent full-time workers.
More than one-half of the nearly 3.0 million private industry injury and illness cases reported nationally in 2011 were of a more serious nature that involved days away from work, job transfer, or restriction. These cases occurred at a rate of 1.8 cases per 100 full-time workers. The rate for cases involving days away from work in 2011 was 1.1 cases per 100. With these sobering statistics, the need and urgency for employers to be prepared becomes apparent.
The Oil & Gas industries have been leaders in the adoption and deployment of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) throughout their facilities. OxySure believes that a safe, lay-rescuer friendly source of emergency oxygen has always been the missing link. Pre-positioned right next to these AEDs, ready and available for any emergency.
OxySure provides just that solution. It is the first, major oxygen technology to come along in over 30 years.
The OxySure Model 615 is cleared by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration for over the counter sale, no prescription required.
